Fall Convocation is Saturday, November 14th! If you have not called in your reservation or filled out one of the orange cards to reserve your lunch for convocation, you can take care of that tonite! For those of you who have still not made up your mind to attend Convocation, you have until Thursday morning 9 a.m. to reserve your lunch or you will need to pay $10.00 for lunch on the day of Convocation!
Also, for those of you who have ordered Football tickets, you may pick them up at the Stated Meeting tonite from either Rudy or Ron. There are still 9 tickets available for only $75.00 per person, so grab a friend and have a fun day with your Scottish Rite family on Saturday, November 28th.
We just checked for game time this morning and no time has been reported for kickoff, so here is the tentative plan A & B – if the kickoff is at Noon, departure will be at 7 a.m. at the side parking lot in Park West over by Big Lots – there will be donuts and drinks on the way down and we will tailgate on site. Tentative menu is 1/2 chicken and again this year you are invited to bring a favorite side, snack or dessert to share and there will be prizes for the item voted best in each category. All of the above are included in the price of your ticket and transportation. Dinner will be at the Oakdale Inn for catfish or whatever you want to purchase from the menu.
Plan B will depart from the same location at 9 a.m. if it is a 3 p.m. kickoff and everything is the same as above with two changes – we will have our tailgate at Wildcat Creek Winery before the game, head to the game at 2 p.m. and then we will have pizzas on the way back instead of donuts.
This month, Brother to Brother Calling will be on Monday, November 23rd at 6 p.m. at the Valley Office – bring your cell phones and we will have the calling information and food for you!
The Valley Office will be closed for Thanksgiving Holiday on November 26 & 27th – be blessed as you share this day with family and friends!
Reservations are now being taken for the Annual Holiday Party to be held on December 11th at Ceruti’s Summit Park location beginning with Hors’doeuvres and cocktails at 6 pm followed by dinner at 7 pm – formal attire is requested (gentlemen, no hats or jewels). Menu choices are choice of filet mignon, gilled salmon filet or portabello stuffed ravioli accompanied by classic Caesar salad, oven roasted vegetables, baby Yukon potatoes, assorted rolls and chocolate fudge torte. A jazz trio will offer music for your entertainment. $35.00 per person – RSVP to the Valley Office (260-423-2593) with your menu selection and payment – please respond by December 4th.
We are also looking into the New Year and the 15th Annual Wine Tasting and Auction on February 27, 2016! Tickets are available from any line officer or through the Valley Office – don’t delay, you won’t want to miss out on this event!
