PROGRAM MISSION
The Mission of the Scottish Rite Learning Center of Fort Wayne is to
provide quality, state-of-the-art, remedial education to children with
disabilities in reading, writing, and related scholastic skills, diagnosed
as "dyslexia". In keeping with the commitment of 32° Masons
to the children of our community, this service will be provided free
of charge to children who have previously been tested, evaluated and
diagnosed as dyslexics.
Children who have dyslexia view reading as a painful experience. As
a result of the services provided by a Center, their attitude toward
reading, and of greater importance, toward school and themselves, has
been dramatically and positively changed. The Northern Masonic Jurisdiction
of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite is committed to providing programs
to treat childhood dyslexia in individualized, cost-effective and clinically
responsible ways.
THE FORT WAYNE CENTER
The Fort Wayne Scottish Rite Learning Center is housed on the second
and third floors of the Scottish Rite Cathedral. On the second floor
is the office of the Director of the Center, as well as a private study
area. The Center itself is on the third floor in space originally designed
as a choir practice room.
If you have any questions about the Center, or you would like to help
financially or otherwise, please either call the Valley Office at
